The Art of Thinking is going beyond machine thinking, beyond everyday life ways of thinking
The art of human thinking lies in consciously cultivating and engaging our capacities for deeper intuition, wisdom, creativity, empathy, and holistic understanding – qualities that fundamentally distinguish us from both current AI and the limitations of our instinctual programming. It's about elevating thought from a mere mechanism to a conscious, qualitative, and potentially transformative human faculty.
Life inherently contains a repetitive component, forming the very foundation of our mechanical creations. To truly grasp the machine foundations we have to start by seen the machine within, to understand our own inherent mechanicity and that of life itself.
AI is rapidly transforming the world of work. Every shift in economic action demands a corresponding narrative action to integrate it into social axiologies, if we aspire to homeostatic equilibria in our society. In Aurora's courses, we approach AI within the broader context of humanism and life. The earliest concepts of automatic machines, as far back as Aristotle, were envisioned as tools to overcome slavery, liberating humans from the physical and psychological burdens of repetition, thereby fostering full human development.
However, our current trajectory often diverges from this liberating path. The human being is increasingly becoming mechanized in areas of the psyche that, in their spontaneous development, should lead towards freedom and joy. This mechanization threatens to obscure our inherent capacity for "creative imagination" and our journey toward Individuation, toward freedom and love.
